Different Material for Woven Wire Mesh Commonly used as Insect Screen

Aluminum
It is one of the most commonly used materials for window and insect screens. Its lightweight, low cost, and bright color make it extremely popular for users who are looking for a lightweight, easy to work with, and corrosion-resistant material.
Stainless Steel AISI304
Its natural color is silver but not as bright as the electro-galvanized or aluminum wire. Its good physical and mechanical properties make it the most popular material used all over the world in various industries, including house and architecture use.
Stainless Steel AISI316
It has the same color and surface as the AISI304 but has better physical and mechanical properties, such as better corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc. It was more often used in harsh surroundings, like saltwater environments.
Bronze
Bronze insect screen is more requested by the top end user, who wants a distinctly unique color and look, especially for those designers. Compared with the red copper and yellow brass, the bronze mesh would be easier oxidized with the unique patina color on the surface. Anyway, it has very good corrosion resistance, especially in seawater environments.
Copper
Copper wire is also often requested by designers and top-end users for those unique building projects, including personal houses, luxury hotels, and prominent universities. After exposure for some time, red copper would be dark amber-red in color, and also with a unique patina. Its corrosion resistance was very good too.
Electro Galvanized
Bright and silver color outside, but it would be rusted easily over time. So its use was not very popular, unless in those poor but dry areas with its low cost.
